Bepsi (べプシ, Bepushi) is a popular and timeless soft drink brand beloved by many. It originates from the 1992 anime special Lupin III: Roshia Yori Ai o Komete and has since become a recurring brand in various manga and anime series, with its most notable appearance being in the 2008 manga and anime series Yowamushi Pedal where it serves as setting's #1 soft drink.

Overview[]

Bepsi is a popular soft drink sold in Bepsi-brand vending machines all over the world and is enjoyed by many, especially teenagers who are notably passionate about this drink. Bepsi vending machines can be found on many streets, buildings and shops all over, even in unexpected places like deserts in the middle of nowhere, showing just how high the demand for Bepsi is.

Yowamushi Pedal[]

Bepsi's most noted enthusiast though is Yasutomo Arakita, a member of the renowned Yonan University Bicycle Racing Club, and he and his team can often be seen enjoying Bepsi whenever they can, with Yasutomo usually being with a Bepsi always in hand while showing an intense love for this beloved soft drink which seems to maintain some sort of rivalry with the local soft drink brand known as Cole.

Dai-Guard[]

Bepsi's longevity as a popular drink brand would continue to endure even into the future year of 2030 where in this possible future timeline it is enjoyed even by the employees of the 21st Century Defense Security Corporation who protect the world with their giant robotic weapons.

Witch Hunter Robin[]

In a bleak timeline where witches and witch hunts are still commonplace and cities find themselves in the middle of great divides because of these conflicts, Bepsi has still managed to surface in this setting and remains a popular soft drink with both witches and humans, and it even has a prominent competitor in the form of the rather boldly named Cock-Cola.

Bepzz - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R

"Bepzz" in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R

  • Bepsi is an obvious copyright free substitute for "Pepsi".
  • Pepsi is known as Bebsi in the Middle East due to the lack of the letter 'P' in the Arabic alphabet, a name that is a close approximation to Bepsi.
  • In the original manga version of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable and its 2016 adaptation, the soda billboard in the town of Morioh was an actual Pepsi advertisement, however in the video game adaptation of Morioh as a stage in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle the billboard was changed to read Bepsi likely due to not being able to acquire permission from Pepsi and to avoid having to pay the Pepsi Company any legal fees.
    • This would occur again in the game JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R in 2022, only this time the sign was changed to read "Bepzz" rather than Bepsi, despite that both games were made by CyberConnect2 and re-used many of the same assets.
